Rooms are clean and brand new beds, which are very comfortable. Rooms look recently renovated and modern, but can still see signs of age. Breakfast is included for free and it's a hot breakfast, but nothing fancy. Staff is friendly. I'd say overall, great value.
The coffee, egg white omelets, plush beds, and cleaning staff were quite good. The front desk staff, however, were inept and lazy; none of the business center computers worked:; and if you're a light sleeper, the truck stop adjacent to the hotel's north side provides nearly 24 hours of engine revving and back-up beepers. To be fair, the concierge tried to move me to the south side of the hotel but didn't understand how to do so in the computer. Additionally, the manager called the sister hotel next door for availability, which it had; but the manager insisted I pay both hotels to stay there. I thought this request unreasonable since the same company owns both properties. Her alternative was that I check out, take my suitcase to work, and check into another room in the evening. If you're working, there's no time for that. Though I can't prove it, I'm almost certain the hotel's policy prevents the cleaning staff from changing bedding every day or even every-other-day.
Room was huge (king bed, sleeper sofa, desk) and very clean. Our room had a microwave and fridge. Complimentary breakfast was great. Surrounding area has a lot of restaurants. And staff was great.
This is a really decent hotel. It's in a good location and easy to find. The room I'm in is spacious. You don't have to go outside the hotel for breakfast. They offer a wide variety of breakfast items. Check-in was quick and easy. They have a pool and exercise room. I didn't use either but they look OK. My complaint--My room was facing the main road. I caught all of the road noise all night. Would be nice if the windows blocked the outside noise.
The hotel was nice but the people working there had the worst attitudes of any place I have been. I have stayed in 3 different Holiday Inn Express and Suites in the past week due to business and leisure travel. The people who worked at this hotel had no customer service, and were hateful and unhelpful. The rooms were nice and renovated and the bed was comfortable, but a renovation needs to be done on the employees. I was not greeted and it seemed like everyone I talked to in my 4 day stay was to bothered to be answering my questions. I am an IHG rewards member and the employee at the counter gave the impression she did not want to ensure my member number was added to my stay since my company made the reservations for this trip. I am able to provide the hotel names of the place I want to stay on a business trip and this one will not be on the list in the future. I hope the attitudes and personalities of the employees get the renovation they need to match the one the hotel had. I was very disappointed.
