Where do I begin I have leased from Arrons in Pennsylvania Tennessee and now Georgia and this store by far is the worst one. There are two females who I will applaude they are amazing but they keep changing store management and the new manager refuses to talk to you if you get upset. They promise to call you back and don't and they are plain rude when you try to figure out your account especially if you transfer from out of state like I have!!! I had to call corporate to get the help I wanted! Thank God I am almost paid off!
To be honest, I will continue to use Aaron's. The business model is expensive, but it's convenient. Opening new credit accounts temporarily dings your credit, which is what happens when you're shopping around various stores to get credit for big purchases like furniture & the like. I'd rather pay a little extra to continuously build on the credit I have. If you're in a similar situation, Aaron's is probably right for you.
It's no secret that rent-to-own places capitalize on low/no-credit people by charging an insane amount of interest (factored into your monthly payment). This is disclosed before you even finalize the sale, so it's up to you if you choose to go this route.
I use Aaron's as a way to build better credit (instead of using credit cards) while getting new furniture, since they do report to the credit bureaus at the end of your lease term. This is the only location I use, so I can only report on my experience here.
The people are friendly here. I never have an issue with a rude employee. Although you can pay your bill online now, I usually go in person because they almost always have complimentary snacks & coffee. The payment process is easy--I use my debit card & receive a detailed receipt that says how many payments are left.
If you don't pay your bill on time, they will harass you. lmao. I referred someone in my family to this location & they skipped out on a payment. They will call constantly, & will even show up to your address as a warning. It's kinda weird, but that's the business. As long as you pay on time, you will be fine.
This is Paula Bostwick a customer of Aaron's on Dean's Bridge Rd in Augusta Ga, I have been a customer for about a year now and never once was I treated unfairly or was staff ever rude to me. When I visit the store every one is very kind and polite, your greeted with a smile from each staff member at this location. The store manager a special Thank You to Dominic deserves all the best for always going above and beyond for me. He always has my best interest at heart. I love this location and would not go any where else.
Good quality furnitures
Literally trash. Loved our Aarons in SC. This place? No. Was the only customer in the store and three women behind the counter, clueless and not willing to help. My husband is picking up our order tonight and we will be transferring our contact to absolutely any other Aaron store.
I'm not going to lie--I believe every single electronic / appliance product I received has broken down in some way. If you're under the lease, they'll fix it for you for free. This is great because once it's fixed, there's usually no issue ever again. I've gotten a washer / dryer set, stove, dining room set, & a living room set. The living room set is still nice & high quality, & the dining set is, too. I never had an issue with the furniture. Just be aware when it comes to appliances--although no matter where you buy, there's always a risk that something will go wrong down the road.
