I've used them for over 15 years. I have brought my own dogs and cats and my foster dogs to them and I have always received excellent service. Very caring staff.
I take both my dogs here and they love them!! Staff treats them like they're family!
Dr. Wilkes and his friendly and caring staff have been taking care of our animals for more than 20 years. They know us and our pets. I love that I don't feel overcharged or pressured to use expensive or high-tech treatments.
Dr Wilkes has taken care of our dogs for years and helped us through some serious times. His services have always been top notch and compassionate while his staff is the greatest. I wouldn't take our pets anywhere else.
My dog finished his medications, but was still showing signs of his UTI. I wanted to call and speak to one of the veterinarians to get advice about coming back in or maybe get a refill. I called Monday and was told I would get a call back as soon as possible. I got no call. I waited until 24 hours later and called Tuesday afternoon. I was told that my puppy's file was on one of the vet's desks and that I would get a call that day. Nobody called. I called AGAIN Wednesday morning and explained that I have called three times now and STILL have not spoken with any of the veterinarians. I was told that the vet who "knew his file" had the day off. I asked to get my refill for his medications (which I asked for on Tuesday) and I was told it would be faxed and ready shortly.
It is now Thursday, and I have yet to get a phone call or a response from a veterinarian and I have not gotten any word on my pup's medication refill. He has now gone almost a week without antibiotics and is still showing signs of a UTI. At this point, I have called and made an appointment elsewhere.
I came to this place because of the recommendation and the great reviews, but I suppose I am one of the few bad apples in the bunch. I do not feel like I was given the time of day or like my pup was cared for in the way that he should have. I also don't feel like I should wait 4 days and counting just to get in touch with a veterinarian about concerns that I have for my dog. Maybe it's poor communication. Maybe it's poor organization. Either way, I won't be returning.
When I came in for the second visit, I had scheduled it because I was told that I would need a "follow-up" appointment. When I arrived, I was told that I should not have been scheduled because my pup was already up to date on all of his vaccines. Luckily, I ended up needing the office visit anyway because he was showing signs of a UTI. Had I not needed to be there, I would have been wasting my time. Dr. Hawkins was very friendly and answered all of my questions, but I have had some issues since my last visit two weeks ago.
I will start off by saying that the vet techs are incredible. They are very friendly and polite. You can tell that they love what they do. I came to this vet after getting a new puppy based on a recommendation from a couple that I met. The first visit went well and I was pleased with the care. However, the second visit is when things started to go downhill.
