I have worked in mental health for 6 years, and as a Director I can honestly say this is one of the best facilities I've ever seen. The staff truly care for the patients well being, and help with their programing. The Leadership staff are all extremely talented individuals, that many times give up their own personal time to help with activities for the children. It's a tough environment, but the most rewarding thing I've ever had the opportunity to do. God Bless everyone that helps these patients lead a normal productive life.

I was sent here and the people who were in there helped each other through the problems we faced... they do not care about us in there they give you medicine and make you do things you don't want to do. they called us liar and pathetic kids to my face as long as the others. You we trapped by nothing but people and you could do anything to help you out of your problem. if you are a girl you don't get pads or tampons. one staff member called me a reject to my face. The ONLY staff member there that CARED was Mr.Chris and he help me get throughout the pain i had

If you have no choice but Lighthouse because no other hospital has a bed for your child, be ready to be ignored, have almost no communication, and do not expect any help if your child has learn to manipulate hospital staff like ours has. They are not experienced enough to see through it.

I performed a special project assignment here for Mrs. Volante, the HR Director. I must say, that this facility has an amazing group of directors who works extremely well with each other to put forth their best work. Thanks for the warm welcome, I hope to return soon.

This hospital was a waste of time and money and other parents with children in severe crisis need to know about it. My daughter has been in several hospitals in the last couple of years. Hillside, Youth Villages, Summitridge, Lakeside, Ridgeview. Lighthouse was the worst when it comes to helping my daughter, and they put our family in danger when they released her because they were so off on the diagnosis. Biggest problem, they do not listen to you, the parent. The communication is awful. Days of unreturned calls, no updates, no discussions, no in-person family sessions. Two phone calls in three weeks, that was all the family sessions they offered and one call was so my daughter could ask to talk to a boy. Are you kidding me. After she was released, within 48 hours she was threatening to hurt us again. Crisis team and cops at our home three times since her release. My daughter was in there for attacking me, her father, again, something she keeps saying isn’t that big of a deal. She has physically attacked her elderly grandmother, mother, sister, brother. Has tried to kill a family member in the past and has tried to get guns to do it. She steals weapons, once threatened to burn down a house. She shows no remorse for hurting us.These are facts. But here is the thing, this psychotic behavior was not the focus at Lighthouse, instead they focused on her anxiety and depression. Depression, something she meets none of the criteria for. The mental health professionals who have seen her behaviors since her being released agree Lighthouse really missed the mark and the release papers do not match the behaviors of the child they are seeing.

I was very disappointed in this hospital residential treatment. They did not help my daughter, they did not help our family. They left us no better off than when she was placed there. They stuck us with a big bill and a bad diagnosis. Two doctors that have seen her since release could not believe what they were reading on the Lighthouse forms. Awful communication when she was in the program, waste of time. AVOID this place for your child.
