I used to come and support this store almost every single day. I was never treated as if my service mattered to the owners. I wasn't welcomed at all in the store. I returned because of the variety of incense and tea mainly. Then, one day last year I walked in and bout some groceries and approached the counter. The co-owner and wife of the store dropped my money on the counter after she rang my groceries up and then turned her head away to talk to another customer standing beside me. It truly upset me so I decided to never walk in a store that repeats the same behavior towards me as White supremecy-subscribing racist beings in this world. Then the last time I went to the store by request of my mother, the owner spoke so inhumanely and horribly to a mentally challenged older African-American man. It was the most disgusting thing I had seen all day. SO I began to have negative feelings resonate inward after that. Then the last incident of dropping my money on the counter. A HISTORICAL SIGN OF DISRESPECT TOWARDS African-Americans. In conclusion, I never support any store that treats human beings in a disgusting way. And I think, if you hold this belief ( which all of humanity should) then shopping here would be supporting this behavior. I hope all who read this can understand why I as an activist and human right's educator would find this important to the public who believes in a better society would want to know these incidents that I have encountered.
