I had to use this same taxi service to get back to the airport two days later. My driver was 15 minutes early, and was annoyed that I was not ready yet. When we were approaching the airport at 5:40am, he got a call reminding him that his next pickup (from Fort Gordon) was schedule for 5:30am. That poor person must have been picked up about 30 minutes late. I guess it's just the habit of this taxi service to not care about their customers.
The service is terrible. if you have a hit time, and need to go in a hurry, then do not expect them to cohear. The drivers show nothing but disrespect to their customers as well. I would not recommend to use this. I'd rather walk.
Yellow Cab is the only taxi service that is able to enter Fort Gordon, so I really had no choice. When I called them from the airport (a 15 minute drive from the base), they said a taxi was on the way. More than 15 minutes later, the driver called to say he was 20 minutes away. When he finally arrived, the taxi driver was pulling away from the airport when he noticed some other people waiting for a taxi. He made me get out of my seat to make room for more people. I thought, "great, he'll let us split the fare." The people traveling with me did not have military ID cards so the driver brought us to the Fort Gordon visitor center and left me in the car. When he finally came back to drive me to my destination, he ended up charging me full price ($18 for a 15 minute ride).
I waited a WHOLE HOUR on a cab to get my daughter and I from our hotel. My daughter is 1 years old and they charged me $6 for her and I when the main office said they should only charge 3. Very poor service. Better off walking
The time between me calling for a taxi and me getting to Fort Gordon was 65 minutes. Please don't use this taxi service. I hope Fort Gordon will consider other options in the near future.
Never again will I ever call yellow cab again. I called to be picked up for work had to be there by 630 the cab didn't get to me til 630 I called at 535 now I'm hella late for work. Frist time rider and last time rider!!! I would not recommend yellow cab to anyone. I guess I'll Uber for now on until I get my truck fixed...
Driver was on time and held good conversation but did not give correct change back. I was cheated a dollar and as a result I did not tip. Also their rates are a bit expensive and the cab was semi clean. Stains on seats and in carpet.
