Whoever designed the place clearly didn't have a big dog. The stone surface gets between paw pads and toes and doesn't make for a nice surface for big dogs to run on. The sprayer never works. There's not enough shade.
It had large and small sides to the park which is great. Also working water fountains for dogs and hoomans. A lot of shrubbery for dog to do their business on. Agility obstacles in both parks for exercise. Trees around park to provide shade in the non-peak sun hours. They also have poop bag stations and poop bag trash receptacles all around in both large and small dog park. Its quite large in both parks for lots of doggie fun and socialization.
Love bringing my dog here. Wide open space for him to run around. I like that it has rocks because he usually eats the wood chips at other parks. They are doggy bags and trash on all corners. Plenty of parking and benches. My dog enjoys seeing the cars and people that pass by.
On the pro side, it's large, has two sections, and there are bag dispensers and bins everywhere. (Not that a large percentage of people still don't bother to pick up after their dogs, but that happens everywhere.)
Great clean place. For both big and small dogs
On the military base. No outside visitors allowed. Never got to try the park.
